- GEMCO pellet mills have brief structure, good adaptability, low noise and occupy small area. The biomass pellets made by this pellet mill have high hardness, smooth surface, uniform particle, and good fluidity, also easy to store and transport. You can make pellets with 1.5mm-20mm diameter from materials like sawdust, alfalfa, wood, bamboo, straw, stalk, grass, bagasse, peanut shell, sunflower husk, coconut shell, and so on.
- It is easy to operate and safe to maintain.
- GEMCO pellet mill adopts reduction gearbox instead of bevel gear. The reduction gearbox has much lower noise, can rotate forward and reverse, and has longer working life.
- The main parts flat die and main shaft are made from 40Cr, which is more wear-resisting than 45# steel. The 40Cr contains more Cr, so it is more wear-resisting. Through forging treatment, the material internal grains are smoother and more uniform, so that its mechanical property is improved. Its hardness can reach 48-55HRC.
- Flat die, main shaft, roller and roller shaft are processed by vacuum heat treatment to have higher hardness, wear-resistance and longer using life than processed by carburizing and quenching technology. The vacuum heat treatment does not damage the spare parts surface, but the carburizing and quenching will make the hardness layer thinner and deform them.
- The roller shaft, main shaft and bearing are sealed both sides; the feed hopper and pellet outlet are made from rust-proof galvanized sheet and are sealed tightly.
- GEMCO has obtained the most suitable compression ratio for nearly 30 kinds of biomass raw materials. Every year, GEMCO can do more than 300 times of tests for different raw materials to get the best compression ratio for a specific biomass.
- The screw which is used to adjust the clearance between pellet mill roller and die is replaced by fixed screw bolt, so that the thread of its end face will not be transformed under pressure.
- The capacity of GEMCO pellet mill can reach 15-20kg/kw, which means producing 1kg of pellets only consumes 0.05-0.06kwh.
- The flat die is processed by professional processing equipment; the roughness of pellet die holes is 3.2, far below industrial average 12.5. While other parts are processed by CNC machinery to have high accuracy. The strict manufacturing and technology management makes sure all components are interchangeable.
- The electrical components adopt CHINT and SIEMENS brands to guarantee high quality. The electric control cabinet is processed by parkerising, pickling and spraying plastics to be safer and more durable to use. The electrical box has a unique Emergency Stop button in case of emergencies. Besides, the circuit is arranged according to CE standards, and the electric control cabinet has heat radiation structure that leads the industry.
- The package of pellet mill: GEMCO adopts professional fumigation-free packing plate. What’s more, to prevent rustiness during shipping, the pellet mill is wrapped with plastic film.
GEMCO pellet mill operation safety procedures
- The operator must wear tight clothes, do not open the cuff, do not wear gloves. Wear crash helmet and dust protecting mask. When operating, be concentrated.
- Check the oil level of reduction gear box, pellet mill main shaft bearing and roller bearing.
- Be familiar with the working principle of pellet mill and the structure and function of all its parts.
- Check if there is impurities inside the machine; if the screws are loose, adjust the main shaft nut with a wrench and lock it tightly.
- The electric motor must start with no load first, then put into normal operation.
- It is forbidden to put your hand into the pelletizing chamber while it is working. The machine will generate high heat during working, so do not contact the machine with your body in case of accidents.
- The pellet mill must be safely grounded. Before checking the machine, the power shall be cut off first.
